Since I was a kid, I always found peace in drawing and crafting. I think I was blessed with high creativity and also abundant environments to safely explore things. So I put a lot of my life’s energy into becoming more and more competent in as many creative media as possible. Some early days of video and animation, many hours at a jeweler’s bench, and eventually woodworking and fine-art sculpture, while always in the background was some drawing or painting project. Eventually, over many years, I’ve found myself to be at an advanced skill level in a very broad range of creative practices. With fine-art as my starting point, I focused on visual appeal, material quality, history, and overall, nourishing the creative process. But afterward, being a professional in a much larger-scale industry, I found there to be a very delicate balance between visual quality, material durability, and sheer labor hours. Obviously, a visually stunning object can be made from very cheap materials, though, it may take more labor hours to deal with the material’s flaws, or replacing it when it breaks. My mission is to blend fine-art surface quality with efficient and approachable designs that last.
